This is my first year at Sterlington Middle School. This is my 7th year teaching in Ouachita Parish. This year I am teaching 6th Grade ELA.
I began teaching in 2016. I previously taught at Riser Middle School. I have taught 6th and 7th graade social studies. I feel like I have a leg up with the new Innovative Assesments that blend ELA and Social Studies in the Humanities testing as I have taught both content areas.
My husband and I were married in 2018 and welcomed our daughter into the world in 2021. We have two cats, Rhett and Romeo.
When I am not teaching I enjoy spending time with my daughter, family, and friends. I enjoy reading, but I mostly listen to Audiobooks these days. My husband and I enjoy watching television. We love to travel and I have been to 10 countries so far.
